No bike. Bus.

For Christmas Mark got a second hand bicycle, and deciding it would be a great form of local transport we got a seat to go on the back for Daniel. However, this is what he thinks of it...
We cannot get him to go in it. We have tried bribery (a trip to the local zoo, a trip to the park, a trip to see his friend Jess, ice-cream, chocolate, marshmellows - the latter one worked for 2 seconds!); we have tried forcing him to go on a trip to the park (so he could see how much he really enjoys it(!)); we have tried putting his toy koala in the seat and taking him for a ride; we have tried singing songs about Daniel and Daddy riding the bike together; we have tried showing him part of a video which has a child on the back of her Daddy's bike; we have tried leaving the bike and a chair in the living room for him to explore it on his own, we have even tried jealousy...

But all to no avail! (Daniel actually thought it was great Joel was in it and wanted him to go it in again later!!) Daniel checks carefully when we say we are going out. 'No bike. Bus'. He tells us. We have decided to drop the idea for now. Hopefully in a few months time it will be a great 'new' idea!!!
Here are a few other pics of them...

Look at my shoes!

Both Mummy and Joel were quick to learn that having a 2 yr old in the house who can read does have some disadvantages.
